They're off

It finally happened!  Sadie's braces came off  today after nearly three years.  The plan was two years but there were some stubborn molars at the beginning of this year that caused the process to take longer.  Now she is trying to get used to smooth teeth.

An Apostle

Image result

Our stake had the privilege of having President Russell M Nelson of the Quorum of the twelve visiting this weekend.  We had stake conference and he came to release our stake president of nine years and call a new president.  It had been determined that our Stake hasn't had an apostle visit for 25 years.  We had a packed and over flowing stake center (church building).  Our family showed up 2 hours early to find seats in the middle of the gym and we were glad to get to sit where we were.  As President Nelson entered the chapel at each meeting the congregation would stand.  The spirit consumed the room once he entered.  There is no doubt that he is one of the chosen servants of the Lord.

First day of Kindergarten

Well I have come to the conclusion that a good picture is hard to come by of our boys.  Elijah absolutely loves kindergarten.  He is excited to share what he has been doing during the day.  He didn't even have any trouble saying good bye on the first day.  I think he was wondering if I was going to leave.  I sure miss him since he and I had 4 years on our own together but I am so glad he likes being at school.

The first thing he said when he got off the bus was "the bus is so cool you don't even have to wear seat belts."

Boys

I sure love our boys even in the wild and crazy moments that make you go, Huh?

Corn

It is a good thing we set up an automatic sprinkler system in our garden. I think it was neglected this summer but yet it still produced lots of yummy veggies to eat.   Our corn did really well.  This morning I noticed it was being eaten by raccoons during the night.  Allie isn't doing her job very well.  I think we ended up with more than 40 ears.  They aren't huge but they sure taste good.

The Betta and The fish tank

We have had these big jars like forever and really haven't done anything with them except put change in one.  Well while Josiah was here...
