Twin day

They were less than thrilled to get a picture taken but Sadie did what she was told.  They are wearing the same shoes with roses on them.  They are also wearing the same jacket and pants.  They planned this before school started.  It's been crazy seeing these two grow up a lot this year in so many ways.

Sunset

There have been some impressive sunsets lately.  We live in an area that is hard to capture them so when we traveled this last weekend we could actually get some pictures of it.  Heavenly Father really allows us to see so much good in this world and this is one of the really good ones.

homemade muscle building

Elijah had this grand idea on a way to build up leg muscles.  So he taped a suitcase to his leg with scotch tap.  I love his ingenuity here and great thought but it might not work like he would think.

School starts 2019

I was in denial the first week of school but I guess it really is going.
Elijah is in 3rd grade.

Josiah freshman, Jarom 7th

Smores

We had not had smores at all this summer so it was fitting to end it with the best kind.  No more fun summer nights.  It went by way too fast.

Changing the oil

Sadie gets to experience all sorts of changes this year.  She has been driving for several months now so she gets to learn how to change the oil in her car.  She did a great job.

The boys had fun lifting themselves up with the jack.

Scouts

We have put lots of time into scouting.  Nathan gets the bigger prize because of all of the scout camp outs he has been on.  The older two boys say they want to get their eagle and we worked a ton on merit badges as much as we could during the summer.  Now that school has started it has gotten really tough to get much done.  Will they make it?  Only time will tell and if they do they will end up being in another troop come January.

Elijah has enjoyed being in cub scouts.  His scouting experience will be very short.  They did awards from being at cud day camp and set off water rockets too.

canning

I have never really loved canning.  I do love the outcome of the work of canning.  I am thankful I started doing this long ago and continue to even if it really isn't fun.  This particular day I got 99 quarts of peaches and pears.

The little train

We had to fit in a ride on the live steamers before the summer ended.  These are fun little trains to ride.

I think the man up front was skeptical of my taking pics even though they said I could.

I tried to take a shot from above and told everyone too look up.  Ha ha! not exactly what I envisioned but funny no the less.

The kids couldn't resist playing on the equipment at the park.

This is a flash back from 4 years ago on the same play equipment.

The Betta and The fish tank

We have had these big jars like forever and really haven't done anything with them except put change in one.  Well while Josiah was here...
