Marathon

I ran a marathon.  Was it crazy?  Yes it was insane but I am grateful I took the time and effort to do it.  I ran the Jack and Jill downhill, near where we live.  It was hard and it was hot.  At one point they were going to call the race unless those of us lagging on the tail end would walk.  It was hard to keep momentum after that. I was more frustrated with the fact that the last long run I did while training my time was better what I did for this marathon.   I thought I would do it in just over 5 hours.  I am grateful I did it though.

This is the stats of my last long run during training.  I was so pleased with the time.

Oregon summer trip

Josiah and Jarom have loved going to Oregon to visit cousins in the summer. Elijah joined in on this trip.  They had a quicker trip than the last couple of times but they loved every minute of it.  They got to buck bales and it was a great experience for them.  They even posed for some pictures.  They led some cows around too.  ha ha!

Josiah broke his finger earlier this summer and tried not to use that hand.  I think he mostly enjoyed being in the truck with his Aunt Katie.

Broken finger

Josiah had a sad mishap while ice skating at the stake youth activity.  He fell and landed right on his hand and bend his finger back.  His finger couldn't take the fall so it snapped.  Thankfully he recovered without needing pins.  He did not enjoy wearing the cast.

The Betta and The fish tank

We have had these big jars like forever and really haven't done anything with them except put change in one.  Well while Josiah was here...
