Wrestling

Josiah is wrestling for the middle school.  He is the only 6th graders so sometimes he has matches and sometimes he doesn't depending if the other team has 6th graders.  He has been having fun and doing really well.

Grapes

Our Relief Society presidency had a ward activity a week ago that was so fun.  Each table has cards with words like farthest, longest, tallest, fastest,  etc..... Each table needed to decide which words fit each person at the table.  It wasn't like what we thought.  Nathan had to fit as many grapes in his mouth.  I found this so funny because grapes aren't exactly his choice of foods to eat but he won.
contestants: Nathan, Niki, Maralyn, Brother Smith, Greg and Pam

Valentines Day

I volunteer in Elijah's kindergarten class on Tuesday afternoons.  Valentine's day happened to be on a Tuesday so I was there for their party.   It was crazy.   Below is a picture of what one of the mom's did for each child in the class.  Wow! She certainly outdid my kids' cards and piece of candy.   It is so cute though.

Sledding

Since we couldn't seem to fit the time to visit Eastern Oregon and play in the snow, we went up to our nearest mountain range to play.
Our sled options were pretty sad.  We didn't plan ahead very well but the kids didn't look like they were suffering too much.

The whole crew except for the camera lady.

It was a pretty drive up and back.

iced falls

This was something crazy.  Every single skinny tree had broken off from the wind and snow that had gone through this area.

Young women and co-ed youth volleyball

These ladies are awesome and I am so glad I get to spend time with them each week.  Volleyball is on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 7 weeks straight.

Basketball

Our lives have been run by sporting events the last few months.  I do love watching my kids play.  Sadie loves to play basketball but it is tough getting to games at 3:30 in the afternoon.

FHE

We sure love this lady so much.  We have gone to her house for family home evening at times and she is so fun to be around.  She always makes you feel so good.  We will be sad to see Sister Arthur leave in May.  She will move so that her son can take care of her.

The rest of Feb...a museum

We haven't been to this museum in a long time and thought it would be fun.  Wow what a difference a few years make.  The three older kids were actually reading most things and very interested in seeing stuff instead of wanting to run or just go to the next place.  It was nice.  Poor Elijah was in the minority since he isn't quite to that age yet.  We let him indulge in the play area.

SNOW DAY FOR US

Oh yeah we got out of going to school today.  It has been a fun day of playing in the snow.

Do you see her face?

We hollowed it out to make a tunnel

I measured nearly five inches on our car.  It was all fun till it stopped snowing later this afternoon.  There is still hope of tomorrow being the same but we will see.

You want one of these!!

Sadie's honors ELA teacher had each of the students come up with an invention that would be useful.  If they actually made it work they would get bonus points.   Nathan and Sadie made this awesome product.  Then Sadie and her friend made the commercial for the trash ejector.

Crowbars???

This looks ominous for these two with crowbars in hand.  This is a corner in our laundry/canning kitchen/library room.  We are in prep to redo the downstairs bathroom.  I fear this remodel will start a big domino effect of remodels.  We haven't done anything to our house in nearly three years and figure it is time before some things just fall into a heap of dust because of neglect.

It was a successful tear down.  The boys said they had so much adrenaline after this project they were ready to take on anything.  Ha ha!

Weirdos

Okay what can I say we have three strange boys that live at our house.  You have no idea how strange it can get.

The Betta and The fish tank

We have had these big jars like forever and really haven't done anything with them except put change in one.  Well while Josiah was here...
