Sister's weekend

This was a bit of my view of Mt Rainier on the way to Eugene last week.  I flew there to meet up with my two sisters.

It was perfect company, weather, and fun. This was the first time we have gotten together and I enjoyed every minute of it with these awesome ladies.   We couldn't have had better weather.  There was sun and no wind on the Oregon coast.  We bought food to eat at a grocery store.  Our food consisted of frozen pizza, tortillas, cheese, beans, canned chicken, bacon, eggs, cereal, and ICE CREAM.   Oh yeah we were liven it up.

Marathon day

It seems like every day is a marathon day anymore but some days are just plain in sane.  Nathan and I started the day out with a temple trip first thing in the morning.  We got up at 4am and returned home by 9am .  Then we left the house at 9:30 to walk down to the Armed Forces day parade that is downtown.  As soon as the parade was over we walked back home.  Nathan and I jumped in the truck and took a load to the dump.  The minute we got home we all piled in the car to head to a baseball game.  The second we got back from that I took Sadie and her friend Audrey to a stake dance.   I drove 275 miles.

We have lived here for 9 years and finally got to the Armed Forces day parade.  It was fun to watch.  This one was different from the parades we have seen before.  There were only 4 horses, 1 rodeo court that wasn't on horses, and no candy.    We did get some yummy cake pops.  We wish we would have been able to walk around more after the parade ended.

Sunday evening walk/hike

We clearly have not gotten enough hikes when Elijah declares this is the best view.  It is good but I have seen way better.  This was a fun little hike that we didn't know about till now.  It is only 15 minutes away.  Score.

Jarom's birthday

Jarom loves anything that has to do with the army.  Plastic army men and accessories are his favorite.  I made an attempt at a tank cake.  I wasn't super pleased but Jarom loved it so it was worth it.

I have never seen him this excited for anything before.  I got him a plastic plane so his army men and tank can fit into it.  I love his reaction.  He is a great kid.

The Betta and The fish tank

We have had these big jars like forever and really haven't done anything with them except put change in one.  Well while Josiah was here...
