Jarom was asked by our ward's activity chair to tell the story of the Stripling Warrior's from the Book of Mormon. He agreed then she turned around and said "let me know if you need any help with your costume." He gasped at that. He is not one to bring attention to himself and dressing up was asking a bit too much for him. Another person in the ward put his costume together. He ended up being a very good sport about it all and did a great job. His video is too long to put on here otherwise I would have you listen to what he said. The ward activity was call The Book of Mormon comes to life.

Wisdom teeth
I learned that putting signs up on all sinks is a great way for a kid to remember to not drink any water before wisdom teeth removal. Jarom was kind of boring after his teeth were taken out. He was too much back to normal too quick. Oh well its now documented for posterity anyway.

Birthday #13
The ages of our kids have the teens and above. Crazy how time flies and has gone super fast lately. Elijah is a great kid and we are grateful for him. He is officially taller than me and loves it.
He wanted a Captain America shield Lego set so that is what he got.

Family visits
It is fun when family can stop by for a visit. It doesn't happen often because not many want to make the trip up here since we are far away and traffic is a pain. We aren't on the way to anything either. It's okay it makes it even more exciting when family does come. Jeff, Jen, and Garrett came for a couple of nights and I love that they took the time to come. I did a terrible job of taking pics though. These were it.

Elijah and Garrett
This is me and my brother Jeff. He is a very good guy and I appreciate him coming to see me. I love this picture and am grateful Jen took it.
They went to Seattle to check out Pike's Place and brought back this beauty.

Quick trip to Haines
On the way to Haines there was a great sunset. I love seeing the cool colors in the sky when the sun is setting.
Aside from seeing grandparents another reason for the visit was so Jarom could try out his musket. He got it for Christmas and unfortunately we have no where to test out such things around here. It worked really well till it got clogged.
He was pretty consistent with his shots. Notice the three holes in a row about the middle of this bag.
Adam took Nathan and I on a flight in his plane. It's always fun to see Baker Valley from a different perspective.
Nathan's parents house.
Elijah's favorite thing to do is ride the four wheeler.
Elijah built this plane. He crashed really good in this video but it's quite impressive. He has more work to do on it. With some help from Nathan he pretty much did it himself. It does go up in the air!

A visitor
I guess we really can't call this a visitor because there are plenty of racoons to be seen around here. On this night our dog, Allie, was going crazy as she usually does when one of these masked animals come around. They are usually after her food if she hasn't eaten it yet. The barking noise came from the front of the house which is unusual. When I looked out at the dark porch it looked like a figure was on the corner of the railing. It scared me to think that a person might be there so I flipped the porch light on and low and behold this guy stood as still as a board. They are kind of cute but I wanted to go back to bed so I stepped outside and it scurried off the side and into the dark.
