Combined Young women

We had a tri-ward young women's activity last night.  I only got pics of the fear factor part for some reason.
The girls feeling real chicken feet, trantula skeleton, and real pig ear.

Tarantula skeleton

Chicken feet--the girls were most grossed out about this

Sadie participated in the tasting of different things. You can tell she enjoyed this so much.

Quick trip to Oregon

We took off really early this morning for Hermiston and there was some beautiful scenery along the way.   The reason for the quick day trip was that Nathan's brother was called to be the new bishop of his ward and we wanted to be a part of it.

It was so fun to be with everyone even if it was a short period of time. All of the siblings except Eli were able to be there. We were able to eat lunch at an elementary school lunch room that one of the staff members let us use.   I think we kind of overwhelmed the primary and youth classes.  Aaron will make a great Bishop.

On our way back as we pulled out of the school parking lot Josiah noticed a tumble weed blowing away.  There was a really strong wind and there were lots of tumble weeds flying everywhere.  Josiah chased this one down.  We laughed hard watching him.  I didn't think to video him till it was almost too late.  I am sure he was quite the site to others.  We don't have tumble weed where we come from.

Then we were met by this scene on the mountains.  I think we got every type of weather possible in this one day.

Practical gifts

I love to get practical gifts for a birthday or Christmas.  You will not hear me complain about not getting something frilly that I really don't need or want or won't use like flowers etc.... This birthday I got a power washer that we have needed but haven't spent the money on.  I had been borrowing one from a lady in our ward but she moved away and besides I don't like to borrow things.  Nathan got a great deal on this sweet thing.  I love it and boy does it do a great job.   Nathan put a wood cage around it so he could wrap it properly.   The cage fits a human in it too!

missionary map

I love having this map on our wall.  It is not only cool but hopefully an inspiration for our own kids to serve a mission.   Sadie gets lots of compliments about it too.

Candles

The young women came to our house for candle making tonight.  It was a super fun activity even if I was stressed on being able to do it correctly.  We have been making sure the young women plan and run each activity but this one was on me because of many circumstances.

Nathan's project

This is parts of Nathan's truck engine.  He has been working on this since last May.  He works on it when he has the chance but it might be awhile before it can be done.  It will be so clean once he is done and it will be nice to have a truck again.

Valentine's day

This is the only picture I have of anything on Valentine's day.  I am glad I have it.  These cookies were made by a dear friend of mine.  She is amazing and I had the chance to serve with her in young women's while she was the secretary.  She is always thinking of others and is so genuine

Swimming

Josiah did swimming this year and seemed to enjoy it.  He wasn't super fast but kept improving all of the time.

The Betta and The fish tank

We have had these big jars like forever and really haven't done anything with them except put change in one.  Well while Josiah was here...
