Random pics

This is Jarom's rendition on Let it Go.  We couldn't get the whole thing on here so this is the shortened version but pretty funny.

9x13 Pans don't last forever.  This exploded after I put the liquid in for German pancakes.  So sad.

Our family  scripture reading time can get a little distracting especially when its the dad of the group that is causing it.  The hedgehog has Nathan's glasses on.

The owl man.

Rainbow as we were headed to the temple Friday night.  You can see the angel Moroni on the left.

Nathan couldn't stand to not have the counter top in the bathroom match our cement tub.  The form was made and the cement poured for the counter top.  We will see what it looks like in a few weeks.

I sure like these kids.

Elijah's snowman

Sadie during photo media class. She loves taking pictures.  She and her partner take lots of pictures of each other.  She is balancing on a pole.

Alert and more snow

The next day after our snow day school was back in session.  We were all bummed since it was a Friday.  In the morning I went to pick up the two seminary students and got down the road just a minute when both sets up parents called me to say the High School will be closed because of a possible threat.   I took those two girls back to their houses and returned to ours.  Sadie was so happy she didn't have to go.  As it turned out the threat was at another school in another state.  Not sure how that was mistaken but I am glad they are trying to be safe about it.

Later that night Sadie and Elijah played in the snow some more.  Sadie is an super big sister.

It's a SNOW DAY

The kids were so happy to have a snow day.  It doesn't take much for us to have one but it was enough for us to play in.  Nathan couldn't stand that everyone else was going to be at home so he stayed home too.  It was so fun to all play together.  I will probably get in trouble for putting this video on.  Then we went bowling in the afternoon.

Blue and Gold

This was Jarom's last cake he has to make for Blue and Gold.  I think he did a great job on the Raven.

The dog

Our dog Allie loves loves loves to go for walks.  Once Jarom and Elijah are on the bus safely headed to school I take Allie for a walk.  She gets so excited and waits by the door for a long time for us to come out.  We usually have to stand out and wait a couple of minutes for the bus to come.  It drive Allie crazy.

She's a drivin

Sadie is officially driving.  This is an interesting place to teach someone to drive.  There are cars everywhere.  It is hard to find roads that are low use.  Sadie is doing an awesome job.  I am not sure I would want to learn in this area.  She is also taking drivers ed.

Wind Storm

We had a good wind storm a couple of weeks ago which caused our power to go out.  Nathan was working out in the shop at the time.  You should have seen his reaction when he came in from the shop.  You would have thought the best thing in the world just happened.  He was whooping and hollering that the generator could finally be used.   We had some really good storms not too long after moving here so Nathan decided to get an old generator and get it connected to our house power.  Once we were set up to be prepared the power hasn't ever gone off in our house since then.  However this time with a flip of a switch in the breaker box we were back in business with power.  Our power was out about 9-10 hours that day but I could still make and bake pizza that night.  Nathan is a very clever man and I am thankful for his creativity, ingenuity, and for being plain smart with everything.   We were feeling smug that day.

The worst part of the wind storm is the mess of ours and the neighbors cedar trees.

The boys were creative with it and made a tepee.

But all fun has to come to end and mom makes you clean up all of the mess.

Look alikes

I told Sadie she needed to go for a drive with me so she got Elijah to dress up like her so that I would take him instead.  Ha Ha!  They might have gotten away with it if the wig was brown.

100th day of school

Isn't he the cutest old man?

Valentine's day

I volunteer in my kid's classrooms a lot.  I ended up being the adult in charge of watching the kids decorate cookies and decorate they did.  I am not sure the teacher appreciated my lack of discipline on the sprinkles but it didn't matter they were having fun.

Elijah's cute valentine box he made.

Fire across the water

Josiah, Sadie and I took a walk and noticed this scary scene along the way.  We first saw the black smoke and it was hard to tell if it was on our side of the water or the other.  Luckily it was an abandoned old house so nobody was hurt.

The Betta and The fish tank

We have had these big jars like forever and really haven't done anything with them except put change in one.  Well while Josiah was here...
