Piano

Sadie can't walk by the piano without playing.  She is always finding new songs to play.  She especially likes movie them songs.  It is fun to listen to her.  She has now taken on the task of teaching Elijah to play.  So far he has liked.  I really think it will be the tongue that is most helpful in the learning process though.

Happy Birthday Nathan!

We celebrated Nathan's birthday.  Sadie used her french skills on some sticky notes and this poster.  Elijah made the next poster including the raccoon.

I am so thankful for Nathan.  He works hard to provide for us.  I am thankful he has a job (willing to have it) that has allowed me to stay home with kids.  He is selfless.  He is creative.  He can do anything.  He is respected by so many.   He spends time with his kids.  He is a great husband and father.   He honors the priesthood.   He is my best friend.

I am bored Selfies

Sadie went with me to take Jarom to baseball practice.  She came so she could get some driving time in.  However I wanted to go on my usual walk while I wait for practice to be done.  Sadie wore her slides and it was raining so she was not able to go.  I walked for 40 minutes while she sat in the car and got really bored.  Enjoy her selfies.  She might not like this but if you use my phone you are free game in my opinion.

spring Break

Going back home to Oregon is always a great vacation for us.  The kids and I have been going every Spring break for the last five years I think.  The main reason I take the kids during this time is so that they have the chance to keep in touch with cousins.  Nathan hasn't gone on this trip because he takes many days off during the summer to go on scout trips, young women back packing trips, family vacations, and to visit family in Oregon.  Believe me Nathan would love to have every day off if he could.

We spent a couple of days in Pendleton.  The trampoline, hot tub, and the wii are the highlights there.  It's perfect because we don't have any of those things so the kids love it.   My dad and Chris are so fun to hang out with too.

We also spent an evening with Amy and Shawn family.  It as fun visiting with them.   I like that they moved to Pendleton.  It makes it much easier to see them more often.

In Haines we get to be in the country and roam free.  We are city folk anymore and its pretty sad.  I am thankful we have family  who have land so that my kids can play.   Our kids are always so sad to go back to Bremerton (its boring here, Ha ha!)

There was fort building, 4 wheeling, and lots of rain and wind along with a couple of cool rainbow (bars).  I didn't see much of my boys at times.  They had fun with their cousins.

General conference, Easter, and April fools

We had a great conference weekend.  I never want them to end and would love to sit an listen to our leaders all of the time.  I guess we do have to actually apply what they say instead of just hearing it though.

We DID color eggs this year.  It was kind of a quick lets get this done job but it happened.  Sometimes I think Elijah got the short end of the stick by being 4 years younger than Jarom.  He seems to miss out on a lot of things that the older three did a lot of when they were younger.

Josiah attempted to play some April fools jokes on us but the poor kid wasn't too successful.  He woke up at 3:30 to set up some pranks but got caught by Nathan who sent him to bed.  Then he was up again at 6 trying to do it again.  He almost got me with the wrapping up the toilet seat up trick.  He may have some better ones next year so I better be prepared.

Parks

It has been rare that we get to a park anymore.  When we first moved to this area I was taking my kids to every park that we knew of.  I know some of that was because we lived in an apartment.  Some parks you can walk near the water and find shells, crabs, and starfish but others are to just play in.  We actually went to two different parks recently.   I love that my kids are getting older but I also really miss those younger years.  Those days seem so care free now even though I know we were busy and stressed at times.  Spending time with family is the best.  I want to cherish every moment with these crazy wonderful kids of mine.

The Betta and The fish tank

We have had these big jars like forever and really haven't done anything with them except put change in one.  Well while Josiah was here...
