Summer 2020 family trip

We have never seen so many flat rocks in one place.  This is a rock skippers dream,  It was fun to see the different varieties.   We went to  Ruby beach,

This place was so neat.  It did rain for a bit when we first arrived but the weather ended up be the best ever at a coast.

Quite the variety of rocks.

The boys encouraged the cave man mode for me.  Ha ha!

Elijah and Nathan's castle.

Eating lunch at the car

rock tower

The fabulous four kids.

They are stuck

Red licorice is a staple on trips.

Someone had made this cool sculpture out of drift wood.  Elijah had to have picture of it.

This beach was quite different from the previous days but it was still cool.

The boys and I were actually high up in this spot but the angle makes it looks so different.

Jarom and his bonnet in hopes it wold help him not be car sick.

We found lots of sand dollars at the beach going back home.

This is the high steel bridge.  It is 360 feet tall and is quite terrifying when you attempt to look over the edge.  It it cool but creepy, I don't think the pictures do it justice.

Random Happenings

Even though we have had some more time on our hands this summer it was tough to get hikes scheduled for
our family.  Working teenagers are tough but we are so grateful Sadie has a really good job that she enjoys.
Nathan and I enjoyed a great hike up Green Mountain.  I love the view of our area.  I so wish we lived closer to hiking spots so we didn't have to drive a couple of hours to get there.

Elijah had a line up of all sorts of action figures.  He took this pictures I thought I better document it.

Elijah being silly.

The hedge job that all the family loves.  Ha ha!

I think this was after a smoothie.

We have struggled with having a functional can opener at our house.  This particular was really hard to open.

We have spent a long time as a family listening to Nathan read books. We love it!  Its much more enjoyable than watching movies.

A beautiful sunset while on a date with Nathan.

Friends of ours are trying to get rid of things to sell their house and gave up alphabet soup that Elijah loves.
We started having youth activities every other week.  We are combined to make it more interesting.

Elijah burying Caleb at the youth activity.

I made shortcake for the first time ever.  I was pretty good.

This was a perfect raspberry.

The truck

Nathan started the project of rebuilding his engine in May 2019.  He didn't not have much of a chance to do anything with it till COVID happened.  He loved being able to spend the time of it for longer periods of time.  He got it running but there are a few issues that need to be addresses before it runs again.  I am impressed with what he was able to accomplish.  I would not have remembered where any of those parts were that laid on the tables.  So cool that he can do this.

The Betta and The fish tank

We have had these big jars like forever and really haven't done anything with them except put change in one.  Well while Josiah was here...
