A Sprained ankle

Jarom was at school when he was accidentally tripped and fell into a chair.  He ended up with a sprained ankle out of it.  Instead of buying crutches Nathan made him a cool pair.  I was impressed and they were the best ones ever I think.  They lasted as long as they needed to and then somehow one of them broke in half.  Jarom used them for a little over a week.  He is back to normal and running around like nothing every happened.  

The neighbor boy

Elijah has a really good neighbor friend.  He comes over whenever he gets the chance.  I love it when other kids enjoy being here.  

The loaner car

Our van had some major issues in September.  Nathan noticed a misfire in the spark plugs one night so he and I replaced them.  However during the replacement we noticed one plug was oil fouled.  This lead to making an appointment to have the professionals look at it.  After nearly two weeks of them having the van it was finally returned back us.  Our warranty covered some of the cost then the rest was ours.  It was a spendy fix but should help our van to last longer I hope.  

While the van was being fixed they loaned us a 2018 Toyota Camry.  Personally I would have preferred a junker.   It was fun to drive but it did stress me out having a brand new car that isn't ours to drive.  The kids loved it and were disappointed that it had to be returned.  

Mini Golf

We took the young women mini golfing in mid September.  They are so fun.  

Visitors and the Prophet

The weekend of Sept 15 we had Nathan's parents here to visit.  We had so much fun with them.  The first thing we did was get the corn from their car so that we could freeze it.  It was a quick process with everyone helping out.  They also came with some tomatoes(that I canned later), walnuts and four pumpkins.  I was feeling pretty blessed.  The next day we picked some of our neighbor's Dahlia's.  They have the best flowers and quite the variety too.

Then early afternoon we headed to catch the ferry so that we could see and listen to our prophet Russell M. Nelson speak at Safeco field.  What a neat experience it was to have him here.   He shared with us 5 life lessons life has taught him.

I was also impressed with Sister Nelson's talk and how she shared how she knows that her husband is a prophet.  She also shared what it is like at home having him be the prophet.  

We also had President Eyring too but how the sounds system was it was tough for some of us to hear him.  You had to really concentrate on what he was saying

There was a crowd of 49,900 in attendance.  This is the largest nonsporting event crowd.  The only other crowd that had more was a wrestle mania in 2008.

We sure love these folks.  The kids are neat too.   It was fun to have them here.
