Cake decorating

For young women's our Relief Society president taught them how to decorate a cake.  We had some cute cakes come from these gals.  This was a fun night for all I think.  Elijah is so lucky to get to hang out with us every week.

Just keep Spinning

Elijah and I had some time to kill at a park while Sadie was at Drivers Ed class.  He made me sick watching him continue to spin turn after turn.

A mossy job

There is lots and lots of moss that grow in these parts.  It is so annoying that you can't stay rid of it once you kill it.  Oh no it still comes back to haunt year after year.  This year was really bad.  Our stairs and retaining wall were covered.  It will not come off of the wall with a power washing.  I have tried.  This time time I used wire brushes of varying sizes.  It was long tedious work and usually I couldn't stand it for longer than 2 hours at a time.  I would go out and scrub whenever I had the chance.  I don't have the full count of hours but it too forever.  I suspect at least 20 hours.  It looks so good though.

Pics it partially done.

It is DONE

How to catch a lepruchaun

Elijah nearly caught a leprechaun this year.  He at least got his hat.  He thought this was so fun to have this trap set up the night before.  He did get gold pieces too.  Later in the day he made a leprechaun to go with his hat.

Hikes

I love love love to hike and so wish there were more places to go that were closer.  The Green MT is about 35 minutes away and everything else is at least an hour and a half.  We have great places to hike but you have to travel a distance to get to them.  I like have our dog, Allie as my hiking companion.  I feel more safe with her around.  I am always on a lookout for bears.

Seattle fieldtrip with 5th graders

I joined Jarom on his field trip to Seattle.  This was a fun one.  We went to the symphony, library and a national park in a building, go figure.   It is fun to see Jarom interact with his friends in this type of setting.  I am thankful I get to go.

Hungry Hippos life size

Our combined YW/YM activity in March was hungry hippos.  The youth seemed to enjoy it.  We found that maybe having a helmet on would be a good idea per the video at the bottom.  There was some good sibling rivalry going on too.

The Betta and The fish tank

We have had these big jars like forever and really haven't done anything with them except put change in one.  Well while Josiah was here...
