Silver Lake 2021

We love going to Silver Lake and seems to be a yearly thing.  I took a bazillion pictures.  

 

Mini adventures

We had the chance to have Nathan's parents here the weekend of Sadie's graduation.  James spoke at a funeral service near Seattle area so they came to visit us for a bit.  We do love having family come visit but I think we are out of the way so it doesn't happen very much.   We might be just plain boring for people too I don't know. 

The youth canoed through our two bridges for an activity.  I was one of the transportation people so I got to take pictures along the way of them.

Sadie was loving these flowers as we biked along the trails in a park nearby.

We had some pretty cool sunsets in the spring and summer of this year.

Jarom was the only one who would venture to the water with me at the lowest the tide has been for several years.  It was cool to look at stuff from the ocean.  I enjoy spending time on the beaches here.

Elijah ended up with a nasty sunburn when he was swimming at the neighbors pool.  The liquid would move around in the blister.  I think next year he will remember suncreen.

 I have been up Green Mountain more times than I can count this year.  These two are with Nathan.  I love hiking with him.

The kids and I explored this place over near Seattle.  It was a long drive but well worth the time.  

The falls were so cool "literally"  and it happened to be one of the hottest day we have ever had since living here.  We didn't hike up to the lake because we would have had serious heat exhaustion.  

We played in the river on the way back down the road.  I love finding new places to explore.

 

2021 Graduate

I am still reeling at the thought we have a high school graduate even though she has been at college for a couple of months now.  Sadie is a great kid and always has been.  She is so good and talented in so many ways.  I love being around her because she is fun, creative, loving, a good friend, an excellent confident, and is knowledgeable.  It was bitter sweet to see her gradate.  

This first picture is of Sadie and a few classmates along with their fifth grade teacher.  Mrs. Matchell is hands down the best teacher ever.  She always knew each of her students and did the best she could with each individual student.  She is loved by so many and will be missed by all.  She retired at the end of 2021 school year.
