basketball

This basketball season has been rough.  There are two teams on the local pee wee association.  One team was stacked because they have been playing for quite some time.  Elijah's team were the leftovers.  It was not good how they split the teams.  The better team always belittled the other team.  Practices were extra long....like three or more hours.  The coach said staying was optional but you kind of felt the pressure to stay every single time.  The plus side is that Elijah improved and was in the best shape he has every been.  I could tell he felt good especially since he was sick most of the end of last year.  

 

Tough day of church

Church must be exhausting especially when don't have the energy to change out of your church clothes before taking a nap.

My missionary

My most favorite missionary is this one, sister Sadie Kerns.  It has been a huge blessing that she can serve.  I love to see her growth every week.  There are some rough days and weeks but boy is she sure learning from those.  Being a missionary mom is pretty darn cool.  I love being able to talk to her each week and see how everything is going.  It can be stressful but I know it helps her to keep working hard.  I feel like families can be a better support to their missionary kids.   

Sadie is 20 years old.  

 

Missionaries

There are some missionaries that seem to hold a special place and this one is one.  Sister Johnson is just so good.  She is humble, and yet out spoken and will be a super missionary.   We hope to keep her around longer.  It was her birthday so I surprised her with a dessert that her mother sent me a recipe for.   Fried ice-cream.  

It is also so fun to attend the temple with a bunch of missionaries and new members.  They came to support Jasmin for her first time doing baptisms.  This is a great group.
