Kite flying

The kids and I took the kites we made at our youth activity to the park to fly them.  They worked really well.  The wind was perfect.  

 

Raspberry Season

I love it when our raspberries come on.   I love them in my yogurt and granola in the mornings.  I love to freeze some for later in the year.  I love making jam out of them.   Elijah loves to make creations out of them on is pancakes with lots of powdered sugar.

 

Trip to Blake Island

We were able to make it to Blake Island this year.  We have been able to go nearly every year since Elijah was a couple of years old.   We love this place.  It is interesting to see the difference in what the kids are interested in doing there.  As the kids get older they don't seem as excited to play in the water and sand except for Elijah.  The older kids are fine to just sit on the beach and talk.  We took kayaks this time so they would also go use those too.

King Bou

We had a dilemma in getting canoes and kayaks from our house to the parking lot.  Being the awesome person that Nathan is a remedy was made.  This is King Bou and he can hold two Kayaks very nicely.  

 

Home Church

We have seriously enjoyed home church.   Today is Father's day so the boys did an impromptu (by encouragement) musical number.  

 

Crawl space and pole

Nathan had so much fun crawling around under my dad's house.  He was helping with a project that would make life a bit easier.

Loads of carrots

We were seriously overloaded with carrots when lunches are delivered from the schools.  It was insane.  So we had our try at making carrot cake.  It was so good.  I suspect we won't be making it much though.
