spring break and a wedding

At the beginning of April we traveled through Montana and a bit of Wyoming. We stayed in Jackson Hole. This place was great except thre wasn't a whole lot to do since they were between seasons. We did get so shop, swim, rock climb, go to a museum, see moose, and eat lots of good food. The only reason this trip was taken was because Nathan's young sibling was sealed in the Rexburg Idaho temple. We did a two for one deal. It was fun to get away for a few days.

This place served a ton of food. We had wished we had shared our dinners with each other.

The best way to end the week was to celebrate Eli and Ali.

Sunday walk

We have gone on many walk on Sunday afternoons. This is a fun park to walk around.

gooducks are one of the weirdest things. There is a school in our state that has them as their mascot.

MORE HIKING

After two months recovery I quickly got back to hiking in May. I love hiking and I need mountains to be in my back yard and then I would go every single day. It's a good thing my family humor's me by coming along on most of these.

5/3/21 Evening hike to Lena Lake with the family-- 6 mile round trip. It takes an hour and half to drive to this trailhead.

5/8/21 Green Mt date night hike-- 5 mile round trip. It takes 40 minutes to drive to trailhead.

5/17/21 Family evening hike to Lake Angeles 7.5 mile round trip. It takes 2.2 hours to drive to this tailhead.

5/24/21 We had to stay close to home so Green Mt. it was. This one ended up being a bit crazy because we got split up. Sadie wasn't feeling good so I sent Josiah back down to hand her the keys. He ended up going all the way back to the car. Sadie in the mean time continued up and somehow by passed Josiah. Elijah was with Sadie or so I thought but he ended trying to catch up with Jarom and I. Once Jarom and I got to the top I figured Sadie was back at the car. Josiah was on his way back up which he was but took longer since he had gone all they way back. I thought Elijah was with Nathan. The first person we saw was Elijah and he claims he had been yelling for us to wait a long time back. I didn't hear him. He got a bit spooked. Sadie came in after him I think then we finally saw Nathan and Josiah. 5 mile round trip but for Josiah it was close to 8.

6/29 to 6/30 So far our only backpacking trip to silver Lake 6 mile round trip along with hiking to the saddle which was another 8 miles

7/10/21 Hike up to a cross while at the Wood family reunion. 5 mile round trip

7/15/21 Mt walker with the family minus Sadie. She is away doing humanitarian work. This is a tough hike but well worth the view.

7/17/21 Solo hike(I did take our dog too) using a different trailhead up to Green Mt. 9 miles round trip.

20 years!!!

Nathan and I have been married for 20 years! I think that is crazy in some ways but it also seems like we have been together forever. We were able to get away for a few days. It is nice to have older kids. We didn't go far but it was perfect and we enjoyed every minute of it.

We hiked out on the Dungeness spit. There is a light house five mile out. It was so nice. This sign points towards reality (back the way we came) or to serenity (pointing towards the light house). It would be a fun place to live. There are volunteers who sign up each week to help care for the place.
