Christmas 2022

This was the first Christmas without one of our kids.  We know Sadie is just where she should be.  She sent us a couple of ornaments to put on our tree.  I love it.

We have a 12 days of Christmas tradition going and don't these boys look so excited to make it happen.  Ha ha!  Elijah is still down for the fun and wanted to wear his ghillie suit every single night.  They all did a great job even if its getting less exciting to the older ones.

This night made me laugh because Josiah and Elijah are in full support of disguise but not Jarom.

Elijah's gingerbread house.

Sadie sent some peanut butter fudge.

Christmas Eve

This is a very cool laundry basket that Nathan made me.  I love this.  I will never get mad at any gift I get.  I think it is so dumb when women get all bent out of shape for getting something practical.  This is practical but also super cool.

Ice

It doesn't get to freezing temperatures very often here but it got cold enough for an ice storm.  The cars were covered in ice.  Elijah and I had fun testing out the strength of the ice.

It held in place when we rolled the windows down, pretty cool stuff.

A text from Josiah

Josiah isn't known for his spelling and when phones try to autocorrect you anyway, it can make it so much worse.  This is one of my favorite texts ever.  He was coughing a lot and wanted to me to save him from school.

random photos 2022

Elijah collected many acorn's on the temple grounds one night while we were waiting for the others to do baptisms.

This sign is in our family room and gets changed up every once in a while.

This kid needed a hat and glasses to do homework.  Somehow I doubt homework ended up getting done.

This has been Elijah's life lately.  I think we need to buy stock in Mira Lax.  The poor guy has missed so much school so far.

We needed jam and thankfully I had a bunch of frozen berries so I could make more.

Other than jam, applesauce is the only thing I needed to can this year.

Josiah's handmade turban.

These clouds were so cool.  I was impressed with how they were lined up.

These are the Mama Kerns cookies that get requested by the cross country team.

Cross country at BHS

Josiah and Jarom participated in cross country.  Josiah is pretty much ready to be done with school so he wasn't super committed.

I love these pictures of Jarom running.

Josiah ran in the last race.

At the end of the season there is a awards banquet with food.  Josiah was so appalled that he got an award for good GPA.  It was the funniest thing ever.

Service day

Both wards at our church did some service for the community.  Elijah and I were part of the group who helped at an elementary school.

The Betta and The fish tank

We have had these big jars like forever and really haven't done anything with them except put change in one.  Well while Josiah was here...
