18 years old!!!?????

This young lady is officially a young adult.  How can this be?  I have been feeling a bit sad about the ages of my kids lately except they are also so fun at these ages.  I am excited for her new adventures but I will also miss her like crazy when the time comes for her to go.  She is a rock and helps me be grounded.  Sadie has always been a great student and has had quite the school load the last couple of years.  It has made her even better by her pushing herself to do hard things.  She can't walk past the piano without playing it.  She is a great big sister and I think her brothers will seriously be lost without her.  I am so grateful she is our kid.

College visits

At the begning of January Sadie and I took a road trip to see different college campuses.  We saw Boise State, Utah Valley University, BYU-Provo, Utah State, BYU-Idaho, and  Montana State.  It was quick drive but so fun to hang out with Sadie.  I had plans to take pictures at every college sign but only remembered at UVU.  Oh well I guess we will see where Sadie ends up going.

We saw the Logan temple all it up.  It was fun.  This is the temple my parents were sealed in.

The boys stayed in Haines while we were traveling so we stayed a day there on the way back.  These three built a cool snowman.

Powerline trail

We hiked up Green Mountain and then went on a different trail back down.  Someone had places Christmas ornaments all along the way.  It was so cool.

Projects

We seem to keep busy with some type of project around here.  Jarom was building a knife with the deacons quorum and that got him excited about building a forge.  He made what he called a "war spoon".

Josiah and Nathan got a fixer upper car in Tacoma that they will rebuild the engine on.

The new to us Celica that Josiah will drive once it is ready to go.

Sadie did an awesome job on this wreath for our door.

This area should have been cleaned out years ago to make room for the trailer.  It looks so much better.

We made "gingerbread" houses our of graham crackers.

I went back to making cinnamon roll rings this year for others.

Some pictures and a video

A new hat the Elijah is trying out in a different way.

My hair has grown quite a bit this year.

Our snowman named Oatmeal.  I caved and we had him for some of our Christmas decor.

This handsome dude ready for church.

It's December and he is mowing.

Josiah and Jarom dismantling the tower.

Richard Scary was mentioned in an email from one of Nathan's family so we brought out one of our favorites that hasn't been read in a while.  It was Peasant Pig and the Terrible Dragon.  It is always fun to have Nathan read books.

Sadie's awesome snowflakes.

Sadie at work.

Elijah hanging with his friend Sammy at the Dinosaur park.

This is an older pic but thought it was cute.

The Betta and The fish tank

We have had these big jars like forever and really haven't done anything with them except put change in one.  Well while Josiah was here...
